The University of Sunderland is an international university, with over 20,000 students based at campuses in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong, and global learning partnerships in 15 countries.
This year we have also opened Campus @ Northallerton, a partnership with Hambleton District Council and York College to provide access for further and higher education for employers and individuals in Hambleton and the wider Yorkshire area.
In 2021, we were proud to be shortlisted as University of the Year in the Times Higher Education Awards; we were also named University of the Year for Social Inclusion by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
Our work is shaping the city of Sunderland, the north east region and beyond, and we are committed to making a positive contribution to economic and social change. We have distinctive and large scale strengths in health and education, alongside a range of other career-focused disciplines such as engineering, computer science and the creative arts. Our graduates leave equipped with the knowledge, skills, confidence and connections to make a positive difference in the world.
We have also been building our Higher and Degree apprenticeship programme and are now working in partnership with 60 employers to provide them with the skilled workers they need to thrive in the future.
